Optical Emotion is a collection of square wall art pieces featuring the handcrafted SPLOT® weave, designed to bring kinetic energy into interior spaces. These squares work perfectly as a modular series in hallways, a focused triptych behind a desk, or even as tactile sculptural accents in a creative lounge.
The name Optical Emotion directly references the visual impact of Op Art, where light, movement, and form interact with the observer’s gaze to trigger a dynamic sensory response.
This collection originated from a client’s request for versatile, small-scale works that could be easily moved and reconfigured. It bridges the gap between high craftsmanship and interactive design, allowing for an evolving gallery experience. Born as a limited series, optical emotion represents a bespoke approach to home decor.
Each Optical Emotion wall art is handcrafted in Italy using a signature SPLOT® weave of natural and black aluminum strips.
The collection is a tribute to the 1960s Optical Art movement, inviting the viewer to explore perception and perspective through rhythmic repetition. While currently available in three distinct versions, the collection offers full bespoke potential.
Architects and designers can request customized weaving patterns, specific color palettes, or different dimensions to fit the unique character of an office, hotel, or private residence. This versatility allows the squares to be rotated and combined in endless configurations, ensuring a tailored artistic gesture that adapts to the surrounding environmen.
