Solisignum is a circular wall mirror featuring a handcrafted SPLOT® insert that offsets the frame from the wall, creating a sophisticated three-dimensional suspension. Designed to enrich elegant entrances, living rooms, or bathrooms, it serves as a poetic presence that amplifies spatial depth with its soft, aged reflective surface.
The name, derived from the Latin "signum" (sign), evokes the idea of a symbol that reflects not only images but also emotions and daily gestures.
The project originated from the need to merge timeless aesthetics with contemporary functionality. Originally conceived as a centerpiece for refined interiors, Solisignum transforms a wall into a vibrant, living surface.
Every piece is meticulously handcrafted in Italy, representing the slow care of high artisanal skill.
The antique reflective surface of Solisignum grants the mirror a unique character, evoking the nostalgic patina of vintage furniture. Its handcrafted SPLOT® insert, made from reclaimed aluminum, subtly lifts the structure from the wall to create a luminous, suspended effect.
This technical detail evolves into a sculptural sign that dialogues with the surrounding architecture.
Drawing inspiration from the charm of historical residences, the weave captures light to add texture and movement.
The frame, shown in a warm brown finish, can be fully customized in materials and RAL colors to suit specific project needs. Clients can also request integrated lighting or a functional storage section. Each bespoke version remains a testament to Italian craftsmanship, where the manual weaving process ensures that no two pieces are alike.
