Ecate

Ecate is a cylindrical coffee table featuring a handcrafted SPLOT® base and a Black Marquinia marble top, designed as a sculptural centerpiece for sophisticated living rooms and contract spaces. Beyond its primary role, its hidden wheels allow it to act as a mobile stage for art or a dynamic side table in a luxury lounge.
The name Ecate honors the Greek goddess of the moon and night, a symbol of mystery and intuition. Like the deity, the table balances energy and silence, presence and lightness, through a deep dialogue between light and shadow.
This project originated as a darker, more intense counterpart to the Emera table, created to offer harmonious compositions of different heights and surfaces.
It reflects a commitment to sustainable luxury, where reclaimed aluminum meets the eternal depth of natural stone to dress the space with poetic rigor.
The base of Ecate features a bespoke SPLOT® Optical weave, where hand-worked natural and black textured aluminum strips create a rhythmic pattern of solids and voids.
This intricate texture allows the structure to breathe with the light, generating a kinetic visual experience inspired by 1960s Optical Art.
The geometries intertwine and reflect, turning the table into a small visual stage for the surrounding environment. Functionality meets poetry through the integration of invisible wheels, allowing for natural movement as if the table were part of the space itself. Available in various heights and colorways like Optical Gold or Black, Ecate can stand alone or be paired in clusters to create dynamic, ever-changing scenes.
