Nymphaea is a hybrid coffee tablethat seamlessly merges a functional tabletop with an integrated planter.
Designed to transform any living space into a small domestic ecosystem, this versatile piece fits perfectly in contemporary lounges, intimate bedrooms, or shaded outdoor porches. Its dual-purpose form provides a harmonious touch of greenery while serving as an elegant surface for daily use.
The name Nymphaea draws inspiration from the water lily, a timeless symbol of organic balance and serene beauty. Part of the Via Aemilia collection, this project originated as a modular solution tailored to a client’s specific request.
The goal was to create a functional yet poetic coffee table that hosts a plant with ease, ensuring both accessibility and a clean, sophisticated aesthetic.
The structure of Nymphaea rests on a brown painted iron base, shaped like an infinity symbol to represent the eternal bond between nature and design. One circle of the figure-eight serves as a practical shelf, while the other cradles a plant, creating a poetic dialogue between function and life.
The SPLOT® weave is meticulously hand-worked using reclaimed aluminum, alternating wide horizontal bands with narrower vertical strips. This rhythmic geometry leaves strategic openings that grant the piece a sense of airy lightness and visual depth. Finished in an elegant Medici Brown, the table evokes the warm, sophisticated palettes of the Italian Renaissance.
Available in various color combinations and fully customizable upon request, Nymphaea allows designers to tailor dimensions and weaving patterns, resulting in a sustainable centerpiece that brings a unique, expressive character to any refined interior or garden layout.
