Venecia is a floor lamp featuring an expansive SPLOT® shade, designed to cast a soft, immersive glow that dialogues with surrounding surfaces. It acts as a striking focal point in luxury living rooms or an architectural beacon in high-end hospitality lobbies.
The name honors Venice and its ancient lace-making heritage, translating delicate historical patterns into a modern design language. Part of the Pontoinaere collection, Venecia evolved from the "La Vanitosa" lamp to satisfy a request for a white, luminous aesthetic that enhances contemporary spaces.
Born from the desire to turn light into a tactile experience, it embodies the essence of bespoke Italian craftsmanship. This project represents a commitment to sustainable luxury, where recycled materials are elevated into a sculptural, airy presence that defines the room’s atmosphere.
The shade features the intricate SPLOT® "ménage à trois" weave, a handcrafted cross-pattern that alternates three white and silver aluminum strips.
This texture is a direct reference to the artistry of Venetian lace, creating a luminous fabric that filters light with delicate, rhythmic precision. This sculptural pattern reacts to both natural and artificial light, casting dynamic shadows that turn the surrounding environment into a canvas of shifting patterns.
Entirely handcrafted in Italy, Venecia offers extensive bespoke customization; architects can tailor the metallic finishes, tripod colors, and shade proportions to suit specific project needs.
