The Aurelia bench interprets the concept of a pause as a conscious aesthetic gesture. It is a wide, low seat designed as a freestanding volume with no front or back, making it a perfect 360-degree centerpiece for luxury walk-in closets, lounge bars, or refined waiting rooms.
Its name suggests a luminous aura, where every reflection shifts with movement to tell a different story.
Born from a bespoke request for a versatile seat that could comfortably accommodate up to three people, the project focused on creating a balanced form that offers support for daily rituals - from dressing to a moment of quiet reflection. This piece represents the pinnacle of high Italian craftsmanship, where the silent authority of its shape transforms a simple bench into a tactile experience.
The base of Aurelia bench is a handcrafted SPLOT® weave using natural and golden aluminum strips. Each of its sides tells a different story, creating a dynamic interplay of light that makes the volume feel unique from every perspective.
A distinctive feature is the thin gold metallic "skirt" placed between the base and the soft gray fabric cushion, providing a visual sense of suspension and lightness. This rhythmic detail elevates the design, referencing the precision of architectural layering. The seat is engineered for immediate comfort and a relaxed posture, hosting up to three guests.
Entirely handcrafted in Italy, the bench is fully customizable in finishes, textiles, and weaving patterns. It stands as a synthesis of functional design and artisanal soul, where industrial matter is elevated into a sculptural presence.
