Opulus is a refined lounge bench featuring a handcrafted SPLOT® base and a white eco-leather seat, designed as a sculptural island of comfort. Perfectly suited for high-end galleries, contemporary foyers, or as a luxurious accent at the foot of a bed, it defines space through material contrast.
The name Opulus, suggesting opulence and abundance, reflects its generous proportions and the rich, jewel-like texture of its metallic frame.
This project originated from the desire to create a seating solution that balances intimate relaxation with social conviviality.
Born as a bespoke centerpiece, it reinterprets the traditional bench through a sartorial lens, where industrial strength meets the tactile softness of Italian craftsmanship. Every piece is a unique narrative of sustainable luxury, meticulously designed to invite rest and contemplation in exclusive residential or hospitality settings.
The base showcases a complex SPLOT® weave using three different thicknesses of natural and golden aluminum strips.
A distinctive kinetic effect is achieved through silver accents placed on only one side; depending on the viewpoint, the bench shifts from solid gold to a shimmering bicolored texture.
This design draws inspiration from contemporary modular art, where rhythmic repetition creates a dynamic visual language. The large, buttoned eco-leather cushion comfortably accommodates up to three people, merging utility with a tailored aesthetic.
Opulus is available in fully custom-made variants, allowing for personalization of the weave, metallic finishes, and upholstery. Entirely handcrafted in Italy, it is an expressive functional artwork that harmonizes stability with airy elegance.
